2.5mm² Solar cables

Ideally suited to connecting between a solar panel, equiped with MC4 connectors, and a solar charge controller.
As a guide, 2.5mm² cable is recommended for panels of 150W or less having a panel-to-controller cable length of 5m or less. If greater than this, use 4mm² cable.
Note: Never connect or disconnect MC4 connectors whilst they are under electrical load as this can cause arcing which can damage the contacts.
4mm² Solar cables
As a guide, 4mm² cable is recommended for panels of 150W or more having a panel-to-controller cable length of 5m or more. If less than this, use 2.5mm² cable.
